Trampoline Maintenance

MAT CARE-GENERAL:  
Over time and with exposure to environmental conditions, residue and grit will collect between the trampoline mat fibres. To ensure the mat lasts as long as possible, it is important to:

• Keep the mat clear of residue – remove leaf litter and twigs from the mat before jumping.
• Wash the mat down with a mild dishwashing detergent, rinsing thoroughly with a hose or sprinkler, about once a month.

MAT MAINTENANCE - 2-STRING:

• To prolong the life of a 2-string mat, it should be repainted about every 12 months (depending on weather conditions) using a HIGH QUALITY CHLORINATED RUBBER SWIMMING POOL PAINT. This can be done by tipping the trampoline on its side and applying the paint with a foam roller to both sides of the mat while it is attached to the frame.  Chlorinated rubber paint is available from Durable Products.
• Check the mat regularly for broken strings and repair them as soon as noticed.  String repair kits are available from Durable Products.

MAT MAINTENANCE - BLACK POLYMESH:
Over time, normal wear and tear, prolonged use and exposure to environmental conditions may cause:

• Mat stitching thread to break and unravel
• Fraying around the mat wires 

We recommend that the trampoline be checked regularly for this kind of damage and repair work be taken as soon as possible after noticing, to save any further damage to the mat and to avoid potential harm to jumpers. Durable Products provides a mat restitching service available.

TRAMPOLINE SPRING MAINTENANCE:
Even though the  trampoline frame and springs are capable of enduring harsh environmental conditions, it is important to check for any signs of damage at the joins, the underside of the legs where they make contact with the ground and check if the frame is sitting level on the ground.  

• Check the condition of the springs - replace straight away if overstretched, broken or missing
